Announcements and Important Events
Update: 18 January 2021
Memorandum: Updated spectator protocol for winter athletic events
Please be advised that in consultation with fellow Monroe County schools and Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Schools, Stroudsburg Area School District will allow HOME PARENTS only to attend winter contests in our gymnasiums. Each student-athlete will be allowed to have 1-2 family members attend home events if capacity limits permit. Families with more than one athlete on a team may register for two tickets per household. As per the current guidance, the maximum capacity for indoor gatherings will not exceed 5-10% depending on the total capacity as it relates to the fire code.
Each attendee will be required to sign a waiver for the season, submit to a temperature check upon arrival, and sign up for individual tickets at www.ticketleap.com. Only family members are able to sign up and tickets are non-transferable. The links for the weekly games will be posted in the team’s respective google classrooms on a week to week basis. Attendees will have to bring a printed or downloadable ticket to each contest and identify which athlete they correspond to.
Upon arrival, families are required to sit in marked pods of two in the bleachers. Masks are required to be worn at all times in accordance with our district policies and the orders of Governor Tom Wolf and the PA Department of Health.
Student/Athlete spectator allowance
Stroudsburg High School Gymnasium: 2 parents per athlete
Stroudsburg Middle School Gymnasium: 1 parent per athlete
At the conclusion of each individual game, the gymnasium will be cleared and anyone in the bleachers must vacate the gym. Spectators for the next game will not be permitted into the gym until the gym has been cleared.
Stroudsburg High School’s gym will have all contests streamed on nfhsnetwork.com. Monthly or annual subscriptions can be purchased and all home and away contests may be streamed live as long as the opposing school has installed the NFHS network capabilities in their school.
We thank you for your support and cooperation and look forward to facilitating a safe and healthy winter athletic season for our student-athletes.
